About Unbridled Horse Tours
Unbridled Horse Tours grew out of two friends' enthusiasm for putting two things they love together - horses and people. Martha Martin and Nancy "Hap" Hapgood founded the tour company in 2000. Hap retired in 2018, with Martha continuing on their tradition of customizing horse farm tours for visitors from near and far.
While Martha's focus is on Kentucky's largest signature industry - horses – if your interests include historic homes, distilleries, barns, architecture, shopping or more, she'll put together your perfect itinerary.
About Brett
Brett Butzer is a proud Kentuckian who, along with his family, arrived in 1997 to establish Sun Valley Farm, their family breeding operation. What began as a passion for the land soon blossomed into a love for hospitality, sparked by the farm tours he created to share the beauty of the Bluegrass State.
Brett also has extensive knowledge of bourbon production, history and tasting notes along with his deep understanding of the horse business. Grilling on the patio with a bourbon and ginger is something close to heaven for Brett. Brett has also worked as a guide at Castle & Key Distillery to further his bourbon journey, and has yet to meet a whiskey he doesn’t like!
With his partner Martha by his side, Brett now dedicates himself to crafting unforgettable experiences for guests, connecting them to Kentucky’s finest offerings. From the rolling hills of our beautiful horse farms to the warmest welcomes a glass of whiskey can have, Brett’s journey is all about sharing the best of the state he calls home.
